We're Baer and Matt,
and we build software.
We've been writing software together since 2013. We built Final Parsec, the app the rest of this site is about, and we take on client work alongside it — websites for local businesses, software projects, and engineering help for companies that need it.

It's the two of us. You talk to the people doing the work — no account manager, no bench of juniors, no handoff to a team you've never met.
Baer Bradford
Baer has been a working developer since 2011. He spent seven years at D.R. Horton managing a small team of developers, then moved to BiggerPockets, where he was a senior engineering manager running a fifteen-person engineering group. He left in 2024 to work on Final Parsec full time.
He studied computer science at TCU and went back for an MBA there in 2020.
Matthew Bauer
Matt started out at Lockheed Martin building software for battery systems, then spent six years leading a development team at D.R. Horton. He joined Baer at BiggerPockets and came over to Final Parsec full time in 2025.
He's the one who works out how a thing should be built before we build it. Computer science and mathematics at TCU.

Websites
A new site, or refining the one you already have. Built to look right on a phone, load quickly, and change as needed — not turn into a maintenance problem in eighteen months. We can host it and look after it once it's live.
Software and tools
Scheduling, quoting, inventory, customer portals — the kind of thing you might be running out of a spreadsheet right now. We've built a lot of these, including our own.
Help with your tech
If you already have developers or an outside vendor, we can lead the work, review what you're getting for your money, or step in as your engineering leadership for a while. We've both run teams.
We work with people nearby
We live and work in Fort Worth, and the projects we want most are the ones close by — local practices, small businesses, and nonprofits. We'll come to you, learn how the business actually runs, and stay reachable once the work is done.
And after it's live
A site needs somewhere to run and someone to look after it. We'll do both for a flat monthly fee — hosting, backups, updates, and the changes you need along the way. New hours, a new service, a page that's out of date: you email us and it gets handled.
If you'd rather make those edits yourself, we'll build it so you can and show you how. If you'd rather host it somewhere else, that's fine too. It's your site either way.
What we won't do is hand you something you can't maintain and then disappear. We've been doing this in the same town for over a decade.
What it costs
A price list wouldn't tell you much, but here's the rough shape of it. Small work on a site you already have — changing copy, adding a page, fixing something that broke — is billed by the hour, with no minimum.
A new site generally starts around $5,000 and goes up depending on the complexity. Hosting and ongoing care are a flat monthly fee, sized to the site. Larger software projects and fractional engineering leadership are usually monthly arrangements as well, scoped to what you need.

About Final Parsec
We started Final Parsec in 2013, making our own games and writing tutorials for other people learning to build them. Over the years it became what our players kept asking for: a place where writers and game masters build and share their own worlds.
About 5,000 people use it, and it handles ten to twenty thousand sessions a month. We designed it, built it, and we run it — billing, email, uptime, support, all of it. It's the clearest example we have of what we do, and you're already standing in it.
